Suspect caught with firearm and drugs in Eldorado Park
A suspect’s attempt to flee from police in Eldorado Park was prevented, leading to the discovery of a firearm, ammunition, and drugs.

A 35-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of drugs, as well as of instrument resembling a firearm on March 21.
The arrest was made during Operation Teka Hinkwaswo, part of Provincial Operation Shanela.
Eldorado Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and Crime Prevention Unit Wardens conducted a stop and search at Boundary Road, where the suspect was apprehended and attempted to run but he was caught.

The suspect was in possession of drugs. Upon further searching on his waist, the police found a firearm with live ammunition, as well as another 9mm that resembled a firearm.

The suspect is still held at Eldorado Park SAPS cells for further investigation and will appear in court soon.
