Joint forces arrested 450 people accused of various crimes during operations throughout the Johannesburg district from July 18 to 20.
The operations included Operation Shanela, station commanders’ operations, high-density operations, and ad hoc roadblocks.

Seventy-seven arrests came during Operation Shanela 2 in the Eldorado Park policing precinct.
An additional 94 people were arrested during station commanders’ operations led by various police stations.
Twenty-three people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, while 34 were apprehended during high-density operations by different stations.
