Rockville man in court for Botshelo Mabua murder bail application

A man accused of strangling Tshwane University of Technology student Botshelo Mabua is scheduled to apply for bail in Court 12.

Sizwe Nkululeko Yende, who is accused of murdering Botshelo Mabua, is expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on October 8 for a bail application.

Yende is accused of strangling Mabua at his home in Rockville on September 25.

It is alleged that the couple had returned from a night out in Orlando West before going to Yende’s home in the early hours of the morning.

According to allegations, the two got into an argument after arriving at the house, during which Yende allegedly strangled Mabua.

Mabua was a final-year civil engineering student at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and was originally from the North West province.

Yende is expected to appear in Court 12 at the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Thursday for his bail application
