The singer expressed that she has had a love for music since she was a child which has earned her numerous awards from various talent shows.

Lady Zee draws inspiration from her mother and grandmother but most importantly from the late Afro-soul star, Zahara.

“I am looking to close the gap that Zahara left, firstly because she was and still is my role model, plus I believe that

“I share the same sound as hers. Because of the love of music that I have and the fact that I met her before her last days gives me more hope that maybe I will become big in the music industry.”

Lady Zee also spoke about the huge support that her mother gives in everything she decides to do or be a part of.

She also mentioned that her mother, Betty Sibiya writes some of her songs. This is mainly because they sometimes live miles away from each other due to her mother being part of a group of women who works with Zulu maidens in KZN.

“Because we would always be away from each other, the only way to communicate was through phone calls and even then it was not enough because I missed her dearly.

“That is when I decided to write the song Ntabezikude to show that even beyond the big mountains our love is strong and we will get to see each other,” said Lady Zee.

Currently signed under Mafumane Media, Lady Zee was found through talent scouting when her producer, Oupa Mafumane was star-struck by her beautiful voice.

Her mother wishes her only the best as she starts what looks to be a successful career in the music industry.

“I wish that God blesses her and may her paths be opened and when things are good for her may she never forget her family and where she comes from,” said her mother.

The singer also shared all her hopes, dreams, and fears about venturing into the music industry.

“If things go well for me in the industry and my career takes off I wish I could buy my mother a house of her own and help my entire family financially. The fears I have are of turning into drugs as we’ve seen a lot of artists do so in the past,” said Lady Zee.
