Miss Braamfischerville 2024 officially crowned

Founder and director of the pageant, Pertunia Malingisa said she is using it as a platform to empower, motivate and encourage young girls to be the best versions of themselves.

It was a night of glitz and glam at the 10th annual crowning of Miss Braamfischerville 2024.

The pageant was recently held at Braamfischerville Hall, where 15 contestants representing the surrounding areas of Braamfischerville showcased their beauty and public speaking abilities.

Founder and director of the pageant, Pertunia Malingisa said she is using it as a platform to empower, motivate and encourage young girls to be the best versions of themselves.

“This platform aims to celebrate the diversity of cultures among young girls while providing them with a place to display their talent and accept their individuality.

“We have a lot of talent in our community, but most people are unaware of it. With this kind of platform, we are highlighting the talent that goes overlooked in the townships,” said Malingisa.

She added that through the beauty pageant platform, she is able to educate young women about values, cultivate their sense of self-worth, and help them build their brands while also uplifting the community.

Miss Teen Braamfischerville and Miss Braamfischerville were the two divisions of the Miss Braamfischerville pageant. Young girls from the ages of 13 to 29 were eligible to enter the pageant.

Speaking to Urban News, the newly crowned ambassador of Miss Braamfischerville 2024, Tshiamo Mundalamo said as Miss Braamfischerville’s ambassador, she pledges to put in a lot of work in order to uplift her community.

“I am currently planning a campaign to provide young people with toiletries.

“I think that toiletries are essential, especially for learners attending school, so I want to make sure that they are always available to them,” said Mundalamo.

The pageant winners received a bursary, an all-expense-paid trip to East London, spa treatments, cash prizes and entertainment vouchers.

“Being Miss Braamfischerville signifies that I conquered and that I strongly believed in myself above all else. My only thoughts at the moment are on serving my community and making sure that I encourage young females to have confidence and believe in themselves,” said Miss Braamfischerville 2024, Palesa Tlatla.
