Moroesi Ramahlo who is one of the church board members and organisers of the event spoke about why they chose to host such an event.

“I think it’s about time we do such things and one of the main reasons is so that we bring life into our church.

“It should not only be about the usual Sunday church service where you come to church and go. We also just wanted to celebrate the 20 000 women who were so strong,” said Ramahlo.

It also aimed to honour these beautiful women with four different key speakers who spoke on topics such as; Against All Odds, Principles to remember to remain steadfast in adverse times, Financial Planning for Women, Women Wellness and Nutrition, and Building a Godly foundation for future generations.

One of the speakers, Katlego Majeke who is a financial advisor at Morebo Wealth explained the reason why she brought this topic at the event.

“I believe in finance for women, I believe that in black communities we don’t speak enough about financial wellness and wellbeing.

“I also believe that the women I have interacted with from this congregation stand on those principles as well,” said Majeke.

Centred around God, there was a lot of singing and praises going on at the church as the programme unfolded.

Some of the attendees mentioned how happy they were about some of the topics especially Financial Planning for Women.

Itumeleng Msibi, a visitor at the church said, “I think it was a re-emphasis on what I have been thinking about, the financial part of it especially investing.

“I’ve been toying with an investment idea but I think it got re-emphasised or rubberstamped in my thoughts.”

Filled with refreshments, picture taking and gift receiving, these ladies celebrated the day with happiness coupled with worship.
