JMPD takes safety campaign to Braamfischer school
The school safety awareness campaign is aimed at educating learners about critical safety issues.
A school safety awareness campaign was hosted by the JMPD at JB Marks Primary School and Kgatelopele Secondary School in Braamfischer, Soweto.
The campaign is focused on giving learners knowledge on critical safety issues and promoting a secure learning environment.

The JMPD joined forces with other stakeholders that included the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE), Family and Child Resource Centre (FRC), Department of Social Development, NICRO, Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), SAPS and the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS), Youth Crime Prevention Desk (YCPD), Westview Clinic, Department of Community Safety, Scholar Patrol members and Teddy Bear Clinic.

The learners actively engaged in discussions that covered topics such as road safety, bullying, drug and substance abuse, gangsterism, gender- based violence, creating a safe environment and sexual harassment.
JMPD is committed to making sure that the learners in Johannesburg are safe and believe that collaborative efforts like these are important in creating safer school environments and communities.
