Dedicated to use her platform, Ntsako Chauke saw it fit to give back to her community and empower young people.

“I am committed to giving back to my community. My goal is to empower young people in townships with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers,’’ said Chauke.

Institutions that offer different courses, TLG College, Tutorials College and ICM Institution were present to showcase and give information on options to the learners.

An actor, Vusi Kunene, was a speaker to share his journey in acting and the arts.

Nhlanhla Zwane, a learner who attended the career expo, said, ”I have learnt we can venture into different careers such as IT and drama. Because I love acting, I heard I can make it a profession.

“The speakers gave a lot of information to the learners regarding what we would like to do; this was very helpful.”

TLG College ran a competition worth R500 where a Grade 12 learner, Mosa Qhalane, won and used it to pay for the school camp.
