Warning: e-hailing drivers urged to be more vigilant when receiving trips

Police urge those who have been hijacked to come to the respective police stations and those with case numbers to report their case numbers for an ID parade to be conducted.

A modus operandi has been doing its rounds in Meadowlands Zone 4, Sinthumule Street.

It is said that the perpetrators request e-hailing services and when the drivers arrive to collect at Sinthumule Street, they hijack or rob them.

Residents shared their concerns as this happens close to their homes.

This happened after a report was made of an increase in the rate of vehicles being hijacked in Zola and Jabulani as well.

It is said that police have managed to arrest four individuals linked to the different hijacking incidents.
