Police appeal for help to find missing eight-year-old from Soweto

Gauteng police are searching for Siyabonga Mkhwanazi, who was last seen in Emdeni, Soweto, on Saturday, August 2. The police are calling on the public to assist in locating him.

The SAPS in Gauteng is appealing to the public to help locate Siyabonga Mkhwanazi, an eight-year-old boy who was reported missing in Emdeni, Soweto.

Siyabonga was last seen on Saturday, August 2, wearing a black tracksuit. Since then, there has been no sign of him.

The search continues as police, family members, and community members remain hopeful for his safe return.

The case is being handled by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS). Members of the public are urged to come forward with any information that may assist in locating the child.

“We are doing everything we can to find Siyabonga. We urge anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact us immediately,” said Constable Shane Ngwana from the FCS unit.
