“Sisterhood is and will always be about restoring the confidence and dignity of young girls.

“We always invite other organisations with like-minded visions that can help us support, empower and educate the girls on the challenges faced by girls with a focus on period poverty,’’ said McPherson.

The girls interacted on different topics including period poverty, hygiene and raising awareness around Endometriosis with the speakers that were on the panel.

“I am confident that these donations will make a significant difference as many of the girls are in need.

The girls received bags that included sanitary towels, teen body wash and pantyliners to make them feel better and confident when on their menstrual cycle.
