Diepkloof Woman Rises to Managerial Success with Bottle Buhle Brand
Turning personal challenges into opportunity, Diepkloof’s Rirhandzu Tshabalala now leads a team at BBB after excelling in sales and mentoring others.
A Diepkloof resident found her calling in sales after overcoming her struggle with acne, leading her to become a manager at a local brand.
Rirhandzu Tshabalala mastered her managerial skills at the Bottle Buhle Brand (BBB) within only four years of joining.
The Diepkloof resident joined the company in 2021 after struggling with a skin problem that made her find solace in the products sold at BBB.

“I met with one of the brand’s consultants to buy a charcoal toothpaste. I asked if they had any products suitable for my skin, as I had been experiencing bad acne. Other products I had tried did not work. The consultant introduced me to BBB’s charcoal soap.
“The results spoke for themselves and pushed me to start my business with BBB. The company does not charge start-up fees, so that was motivation enough,” Tshabalala said.
She added that the support and mentorship from other entrepreneurs in BBB encouraged her to be more passionate about selling and recruiting other young women to join the business.
“I believe women can break through societal standards and stereotypes in business by actively seeking mentorship and sponsorship, developing skills in inclusive leadership and advocating for systemic changes such as diversity training, building strong support networks and embracing their leadership potential within the company’s supportive environment.

“That is what BBB is about. The company believes in giving women opportunities to become their own leaders while earning an income.”
“With the high rate of unemployment in our country, I believe BBB gives women an opportunity to prove their capabilities.
“The training we attended instilled great self-confidence. Now, I can confidently sell my products with a smile on my face and wear confidence because I have seen the results of BBB’s products.”
BBB sells various exclusive, quality and affordable products in categories that include home and kitchenware, health and wellness, and beauty and fashion.

“I have now ranked three levels and am in a managerial position. This means I have recruited more than 20 people and exceeded R55 000 in sales in three consecutive months.
“To say I am proud of myself is an understatement because I have achieved more than I believed I would when I first started the business.
“This is why I do not mind getting out of my comfort zone and showing up in the streets to sell and recruit young women who want to be part of this business.”
Tshabalala believes there are more opportunities for women at BBB, which they can use to combat unemployment and develop entrepreneurship skills.
