Elderly man found dead near Mofolo sports ground
A community member discovered the body while out for daily exercise, with police investigating the circumstances of the man’s death.
The body of an elderly man was discovered by a community member who was out for their daily exercise near the Sharp Sports Ground in Mofolo on 30 September.
It is alleged that the man had suffered multiple stab wounds. Police and emergency services were called to the scene to investigate.

Confirming the incident, Gauteng Warden Sello Mokgatlhe from Moroka Police Station said authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s brutal killing.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established, and the matter remains under investigation.
