Winnie Radebe Foundation spreads hope with donations to learners and seniors
The foundation donated school essentials to learners and vegetable hampers to senior citizens, showing compassion and support for those facing household challenges.
The Winnie Radebe Foundation is once again spreading hope and making a difference by donating to school learners and senior citizens.
The donation took place on September 24 and 25, with senior citizens in Lufhereng receiving vegetables, and learners at Protea Glen Secondary School receiving school shoes, socks, sanitary towels, school bags, and other goodies.
Speaking to Urban News, foundation founder Winnie Radebe said the donations were meant to show compassion and support to beneficiaries, many of whom are struggling with challenges in their households.

“Through these kinds of initiatives, we want to bring change to our communities. Most of our beneficiaries come from underprivileged backgrounds and rely on social grants, which are often not enough to cover the basic needs of a household,” she said.
She further stated that what pushes her to do these initiatives is seeing the struggles her beneficiaries go through, as she knows how painful it is to live without the things one truly needs.

“Children and the elderly are among the most vulnerable when they go without life’s essentials. That is why we donated 180 vegetable hampers to our senior citizens and 25 sets of school necessities to learners.
“Our hope is to keep gaining the strength and support needed to continue meeting our beneficiaries halfway and bringing hope to our communities,” said Radebe.
Radebe thanked everyone who supported her work and emphasised that more assistance is needed. She added that anyone wishing to help the Winnie Radebe Foundation make a difference can contact her at 071 216 0152.
