The most notable achievement is the back-to-back victory of the Salem U15 girls, who successfully defended their title at the Ladies Women’s Day Tournament for the second year in a row.
In addition, the U15 ladies league was also claimed by the Salem team, proving that hard work, skill, and determination have paid off.
Despite this success, the team is looking to expand and welcomes new female players to join the squad.
Coach Bashier Clayton Thompson emphasises that the challenge for all coaches in women’s football is keeping players motivated and interested.
“We need to continue encouraging more girls to play football, and I believe that will help grow the sport,” he said.
A focus on growth and skill
While Salem Ladies FC celebrates its victories, Thompson points out that development remains a priority for the team.
“What I am most proud of is the improvement in my players’ football skills, particularly their technical aspects of the game. There is always room for growth, but I am truly happy with the progress they have made so far.”
