Mpumalanga anti-corruption unit arrests Gauteng cops
Cops charged with corruption after sting operation.

A sting operation by anti-corruption investigators resulted in the arrest of six Gauteng SAPS members on April 18.
Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo, spokesperson for the national commission, said members from Brooklyn and Silverton SAPS reported for duty at a roadblock on the R104 eastbound at 6am.
“Later the same day, Mpumalanga Provincial Anti-corruption Unit received information that the members at the roadblock had demanded money from people passing through the roadblock.
“A sting operation was held and an officer and five other members were arrested.”
“They were detained on corruption charges, as well as defeating the ends of justice,” said Naidoo.
