Two robberies took place in Everest on Sunday in the space of 15 minutes.

A house-robbery took place on Sunday at Everest Informal Settlement at 10.45pm.

Six men, one armed with a gun, knocked on the door of a shack and pretended to be policemen.

The victim opened the door and the robbers entered, robbing the victim of R1 400 cash and two cellphones.

The victim was assaulted with a gun while the robbers took the Combi keys, before they left they noticed a SAPS vehicle and ran away.

A mere 15 minutes later, at 11pm, a business robbery took place.

A man was asleep in a shebeen when nine robbers, four armed with guns, knocked on the door pretending to be the police.

The man refused to open the door and one of the robbers fired a shot through the window and they forced their way into the shebeen.

One of the robbers pointed a gun at the victim while the others searched the place and took R400, 29 bottles of beer and three cellphones and ran away.
