Dersley home broken into by two suspects

The suspects covered the two women with a blanket so that they couldn't see anything

A Dersley home was broken into in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was sleeping when she heard someone enter the bedroom.

She found a man with a crowbar who instructed her to come downstairs, where she found her domestic worker already there with another suspect keeping watch of her.

The suspects covered the two women with a blanket so that they couldn’t see anything.

After an hour of waiting, the victims came out of the blanket and discovered that the TV and their cellphones were missing.

“The microwave and car keys were found outside the house and the doors of the car were opened.

“It was clear that they were disturbed by the car alarm,” says Ramphora.

The suspects gained entry through the window. Nobody was injured during the break-in.
