Animal rescue shelter needs donations
The donations will assist in keeping the shelter afloat as the running costs mount.
Located 40km outside Benoni, the Delmas Animal Shelter’s work in the community is often overlooked, leading to financial uncertainty while food reserves also run low.
Add continuous load-shedding and an increase in animals being surrendered or abandoned into the mix, and the facility is buckling under the pressure of ensuring the animals, which include farm animals, remain safe and well-fed.
Steadfast in its dedication to animal welfare, the organisation pleads with the community to support its work.

With mounting overheads, including veterinary costs, salaries for caregivers, and petrol to ensure their water pumps remain active during power outages, donations to keep the shelter running smoothly are urgently needed.
Some of the shelter’s furry residents are up for adoption, which, in turn, would put the organisation in a better position to welcome new animals in need of care.
