Bobbies Rugby Club’s U7 team stuns with double victory

With no reserves and plenty of determination, the Bobbies U7 squad proved unstoppable, defeating Kempton Park and Brakpan.

Bobbies Rugby Club’s U7 team was on a winning streak this past weekend, securing a double victory at games hosted at Hoërskool Die Anker in Brakpan.

The team’s manager, Isabella Greyvenstein, said although the team had a difficult season with injuries within the first few games, they dominated their opponents, winning both games. They beat Kempton Park 10-0; meanwhile, they managed to obtain 9-0 against Brakpan.

“The team has limited players and no reserves, so the entire game depends solely on those in the field. Despite this, they did their best and did not disappoint,” Isabella said.

Xavier Laing and JR Greyvenstein were named the men of the match, having scored nine and six tries respectively.
