Sprokiesland learners donate books and toys to Be Court Wise Room

Learners from Sprokiesland Pre-Primary and Nursery School donated books and toys to support children testifying at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court.

The learners from Sprokiesland Pre-Primary and Nursery School in Sharon Park recently donated three boxes of books and toys to the Be Court Wise Room.

The Benoni Rotary Club established the Be Court Wise Room.

The club said the donated books will be used at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court and will serve as a secure environment for children who need to testify in court.

“This space is furnished with books and toys to engage children while they await testimony,” said the club.

The teacher, Kim Westley, encouraged learners to donate gently used toys and books.

The Rotary E-Club of East Rand expressed gratitude to Almeic Jonker, the school’s owner, and Westley for their support.
