Raw sewer health factor

I stay in Dersley and a lot of people must travel between Dersley and Eastvale on Cloverfield Road every day.

Before you get to the Eskom transmission station, you will find a raw sewerage stream that takes your breath away.

Don’t bother trying to phone the metro, they just don’t answer their phones.

This is an ongoing problem for about five months.

This is really an environmental and health hazard.

* The said area was inspected, and it was found the sewer is blocked due to a broken sewer manhole.

This has not been overflowing for five months. The metro however, did have a problem about two and a half to three months ago around the area.

These are different blockages around the same sewer line.

The issue is the illegal miners who are damaging our services.

A request has been sent to the contractor to effect the repairs.
