Danger not averted

Good day, this morning about 11 a.m. there was a horrific accident at the top of 4th Avenue Geduld, involving a motorcycle and a car.

I am not sure how it happened but if the vehicles were adhering to the 50 Km/h speed limit on this road there may have been time to brake or swerve and the injuries may have been less severe.

A helicopter has airlifted the critically injured lady motorcyclist to hospital while her wrecked motorcycle lies smashed up against a fence, we pray she survives but from what was seen of her condition the outcome will not be good.

The Metro Police are still stationed early morning on the quiet Ermelo Road this week catching unsuspecting motorists for income while our hot spot here has produced the accident that I predicted.

How many more before we get Metro action?
