Two Wheezy Humans and One Thunderdog

That wretched mom managed to make Alpha sick as well.

Shame – poor man, and he is so busy.

Of course, unlike Mom – he hopped into bed and was properly sick. In fact, he took himself off to his dressing gown dude the moment he started coughing and snorting.

He came home waving some pills around. I’ll sort out your flu stuff chop chop – he said to Mom.

Mom just blew her nose at him.

But you know… those pills did not actually work very well. In fact – he went through all the same symptoms as mom did.

Except of course man flu is so much worse – on so many levels – than lady flu.

For starters – I’d just be settling down for the night. Not in my baskie, you understand. Sometimes when it’s a bit warmer I sleep under the window by Alpha’s side for half the night – then move into my spot next to mom when it starts getting chilly.

I was dreaming about burying bones when suddenly there’s this humongous noise right next to my head.

Alpha snorting and blowing his nose!

My tickly toe-nails – nearly caused my furry heart to attack me. Leapt up, nearly braining myself on the chair. High-tailed it around to mom’s side of the bed. Much safer there.

Stretched out on the nice cool tiles and stuck my head under the bed to try and block out the racket.

A few hours later I was almost trampled to death when Alpha failed to see me on his way to the bathroom.

Chunky chop-bones! How is a little doglet supposed to sleep around here? I crawled into my baskie. Mom gave my ear a scratch.

I’d stay in your baskie if I were you Fudges – she recommended. She was also snorting, coughing and being restless – but on a much daintier scale than Alpha.

Not a bad plan. I turned over, wiggled my toenails in the air and prepared to nap some more.

Had not been asleep for long when suddenly that Thunderdog howled ferociously in the sky – once again making my heart thud in my furry little chest.

Skedaddled under the bed quick chop-chop. At least I’d be safe. Nobody could stomp on me under there. Plus the sounds are a tad more muted.

Managed to get a few winks of sleep after that.
