A stitch in time saves nine

The Ekurhuleni Metro should be made aware of the refuse piling up in the stormwater drains in the CBD.

I walk from Wit Road, Lodeyko, to Fifth Avenue, covering a section of the CBD while shopping.

Walking down Eighth Street, going into Fifth Avenue, I witnessed the stormwater drains completely filled with rubble and not one refuse bin in sight.

Maybe the metro should consider doing a survey on all the stormwater drains that are filled with refuse, so they could be cleaned.

This is a direct result of all the sewage blockages in town which I have witnessed, as well as the lack of refuse bins.

The black bags that are ripped open causes refuse to be scattered and blown all over.

Thank you for the wheelie bin roll-out which will contribute to the fight against the refuse problem that is trashing our town.

A stitch in time saves nine.
