Generous donation welcomed

Louise Mawhinney from Hope and Halos writes:

On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank Stephen Williams, a local businessman who has given us the most amazing support, even before we registered our Hope & Halos organisation.

They were very involved in the successful ‘ladies night’ for Vita Nova Centre, supported the Mandela Day initiatives and just generally climbed on board to assist all those less fortunate than themselves in the past.

Their recent gesture really has brought me to tears and thank you just really doesn’t feel like enough.

We put together a wish list for all the children for our Christmas party and we received a call from Williams to let us know they will sponsor all the sweets, ice cream and cold drinks for the Vita Nova Centre party.

They then called us back and said they will buy all the gifts on The Potters Haven list.

Due to logistics, the Vita Nova party will be held separately at Vita Nova on November 3.

We were really so overwhelmed with this. It has assisted us so much as we now have half the number of children to source gifts for.

The young adults employed at this company truly are an accolade and example to our youth.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
