Celebs to host Kenny Kunene’s sushi party

Television presenter Nonhle Thema and radio personality Phat Joe (Majota Khambule) will host Kenny Kunene’s Birthday sushi bash.

The extravagant affair will take place at the Taboo nightclub in Sandton on October 24.

“Nonhle and Phat Joe will be the sushi selectors,” said Kunene, who is known as “The Sushi King”.

“They will choose which sushi is placed on the female models who will be the platters at the event.”

Kunene made headlines in 2010 when he hosted his first sushi party for his 40th birthday. The former politician and his guests were photographed eating the Japanese cuisine off the bodies of women in bikinis.

This time, Kunene says the models will be completely naked.

“Nyotaimori [the act of eating sushi off a naked woman’s body] is done all the time in Japan and in many other countries,” says Kunene. “There is nothing strange about it.”

Some of the biggest names in local music are on Kunene’s line up. These include Kelly Khumalo, Khanyi Mbau, Mandla Spikiri, DJ Sbu (Sibusiso Leope), Thabo “T Bose” Mokwele and DJ Moflava (Moeti Tsiki).

General access tickets to the party are available at Taboo for R150.
