SAPS awards outstanding policing
The Annual Witbank SAPS awards recognised the most outstanding police officers in various categories.
The awards took place on December 21, at Del Amore conference venue. The cluster commander, and deputy provincial commissioner attended the evening. Major General Nhlamvu Elias Dlamini, said a few encouraging words about the year that has passed and the year ahead, followed by the deputy commissioner Major General Christina Sithole.
The runner up for officer of the year is Lt Col Rachel Manzini, and the winner of the prestigious best officer of the year went to Lt Col Thoko Shabangu.
There were many other winners for exceptional performance in several categories, such as detective services, visible policing, operational support and sector commanders, as well as support services, such as administration. Awards that recognised the achievements of the best ground staff and volunteers were also given.
Well done to the officers at the Witbank SAPS for their hard work.
