EFF wants answers

Members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) showed their dismay with municipal services during a peaceful march last week.

The march on Friday, February 28 was done in a peaceful manner.

A memorandum was handed over, dealing with concerns on roads, potholes, water, waste collection, sanitation, electricity, poor maintenance, corruption and increasing crime.

The Emalahleni Local Municipality was given seven days to respond to the memorandum.
“In addressing the crowd the city’s administrator Mr Theo van Vuuren said he acknowledges their concerns and undertook to respond.

“I further undertake to work with them as community members towards solutions in respect of service delivery,” he said on his Facebook page.

A copy of the memorandum was also handed over to the SAPS.
