The suspect appeared in Witbank Magistrate’s Court on Monday, February 23. Bail was opposed by the police and the judge ruled that he stay behind bars for further investigation.
Four huge cocaine rocks, also known as half moon rock cocaine, were found on the suspect when the police raided the house he stays in on Friday, February 20. The street value of the drugs is R12 000.
The suspect also had a large amount of money and a lot of cell phones in his possession.
This is not the first time this suspects clashed with the law.
Last year he was arrested twice for possession of drugs and he was granted bail on both occasions.
On April 29 he was searched and dagga was found on him. Four months later on August 4 he was again arrested and again he was in possession of dagga.
Five other suspects also appeared in court for possession of drugs. On February 17 a suspect was arrested when police acted on information about a man selling dagga in Old Coronation.
The dagga was found inside the man’s car.
Later the same evening a suspect was arrested after he tried to outrun the police. He too had dagga in his possession.
Three more suspects were arrested on February 19 for the same offence.
