The man said he had withdrawn R75 000 from one of the banks at Saveways Crescent Centre on Monday, March 9 at about 10:40.
He drove in his car together with a friend to his house in Clewer. He parked the car outside his house and left the friend in the car. He was in the house for about five minutes and when he came back he was approached by a man who told him that while he was inside the house, an unknown man opened the driver’s door and took something that was in a plastic bag.
The victim then realised that his money was gone and informed the friend that the money was gone. The friend had been standing next to the car.
When the victim asked his friend whether he had seen anything, he told him that he saw a white VW Polo sedan whose driver had asked the friend to assist to put some water in the Polo.
Police are investigating a case of theft from a car and nobody has been arrested.
