Daughters of Saint Ann say all is not well
The prayer meeting was concluded with lots of ideas from the Daughters of Saint Ann to lead in projects that will address the issues raised in the meeting.
From the streets of KwaGuqa, eMalahleni, dressed in black outfits the women of prayer came together at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Ackerville. It was not a Black Thursday or a Black Friday, but an important Saturday afternoon.
The women of prayer held a prayer session on Saturday, March 11 afternoon.
“It was a day chosen by the Lord through the Daughters of Saint Ann. It was a day of prayer under the theme: ‘The Earth and the Environment’ – ‘All is not well’ in one voice our mothers and sisters in Christ agreed that they are standing against all environmental and social ills that have engulfed eMalahleni,” said Ms Nomusa Keninda, one of the speakers.
“Ziyamazi umelusi, ziyamaz’ uBaba wazo” was a song sung as Father Linda Zwane took to podium to appreciate the gathering of powerful women in the church. He was humbled by the knowledge he gained from the prayer meeting. Everyone was impressed by each speaker who shared crucial issues to be tackled by the church in the community of eMalahleni.
