Glencore funds care for the terminally ill
“We are truly grateful to Glencore for supporting us during these difficult times,” said White Rose Hospice.

White Rose Hospice, on behalf of their patients and staff, thanked Glencore for their very generous donation of R150 000.
The donation to White Rose Hospice took place on February 9, and will go towards the care of their patients.
White Rose Hospice is a non-profit organisation. Their core business is to provide basic nursing care to terminally ill patients during their final days.
Hospice does not receive any government funding, and is dependent on donations from businesses and the community.
Without the financial help from businesses and the community, Hospice will not be able to provide this much needed service to their patients.
Hospice currently has 297 patients in the community and 23 patients in their in-patient unit. Their monthly expenses to care for patients is approximately R250 000 per month.
“We are truly grateful to Glencore for supporting us during these difficult times,” said White Rose Hospice.
