Man appears in court for shoplifting

A man charged for intimidation and contravention of a protection order made an appearance.

The man has no previous or pending court cases against him. He was granted R500 bail and his case was postponed to September 8.

Nkosinathi Mazibuko was arrested for shoplifting. He has a previous conviction of theft. His case was before court again on Thursday, August 17.

About a month ago, four suspects were arrested for an attempted cash-in-transit heist that took place at Total garage, Mandela Street.

The crime was committed on Friday, July 14. All four suspects were arrested on the day when they tried to flee the scene with the money.

The suspects were denied bail and remain in custody until their next court appearance scheduled for September 8.
