A suspect is behind bars for the attempted rape of a baby. This comes after the complainant caught the suspect with his pants down in his room. The incident happened on Wednesday, August 2 at 16:00 at Christiaan De Wet Street, Ext 10.
A man alleges that on his way to the bathroom he heard music and a baby crying inside the suspect’s room.
The man went to check and when he opened the door he saw the suspect with his trousers down and the baby’s nappy was on the floor.
When the man asked the accused, the accused alleged that he was changing the baby’s nappy as it was full.
The man alleged that after confronting the suspect, the suspect put on his trousers.
The man then went to alert the mother of the baby. Together they waited for the father of the infant.
When the father of the baby arrived he called Witbank Police Station to open a case.
The suspect has been arrested.
