“Luckily no one was killed in the cash-in-transit”

The reports going around eMalahleni that G4S security guards were killed during a cash-in-transit this morning is false.

The reports going around eMalahleni that G4S security guards were killed during a cash-in-transit this morning is false.

The G4S cash-in-transit occurred this morning on the corner of Gordon and OR Tambo and the road is still closed off.

According to the paramedic of Legacy Ambulance services, Mr Phillip du Plessis no person was killed during the incident.

Legacy dispatched the scene and took two injured patients to hospital.

It is not yet clear if the suspects got away with cash and is alleged that there were between six and eight suspects.

It was confirmed by Witbank Police Spokes Person, Sgt David Ratau that the vehicles used in the heist was a blue polo and while Volkswagen Combi.
