Learners empowered at MMAC career expo

The MMAC career expo at Klarinet Multi-Purpose Centre introduced local learners to study options, career paths, bursaries and admission requirements.

Local learners were given a glimpse into their future careers at the Moving Militant Art Collaboration (MMAC) career expo at the Klarinet Multi-Purpose Centre on October 9.

The event attracted learners from Coronation High School, Siyanqoba High School and Pine Ridge Combined School.

Organised by MMAC, the expo aimed to help learners make informed decisions about their future studies and career paths, said representative Kganya Rapudungoane.

Exhibitors offer guidance

Local exhibitors included the Tshwane University of Technology’s eMalahleni campus, Nkangala TVET College and Mphemphetse Training Academy.

Learners had the opportunity to engage directly with professionals from various fields, such as engineering, and received information on bursaries, application processes and admission requirements.

Mphemphetse Training Academy representative Leon Mabutsi highlighted the importance of exposing learners to different educational and career opportunities.

MMAC representative Kganya Rapudungoane said: “The organisation wanted to empower learners.”
