Suspected mob justice leaves one dead

An inquest was opened at the Witbank Police Station after a person died, and police are suspecting mob justice.

Police were informed about the deceased on Tuesday, October 24 at Witbank Hospital and upon arrival, the hospital sister showed police the deceased.

According to his file, the deceased was assaulted by community members and he was then brought into hospital. He died shortly thereafter.

The case is still under investigation.
