Do you ever think of how your life would be if you did not own a good pair of spectacles?
13-year-old Thabang had to live with limited eyesight and broken spectacles until a local housing company and an optometrist joined hands to help this young man get a new lease on life.
Mr Trevor Dube, Community Development Officer at the housing company met Thabang in Ackerville one Friday afternoon and with the amazing help of Mr Greg Cullen, Thabang had his eyes tested before the following Monday.
On Monday, October 30 Thabang received his brand new spectacles and two pairs of prescription sunglasses from the optometrists.
“The world would be such an amazing place if more people had such generous hearts like Greg,” said Ms Susan Esterhuizen, public relations officer at the housing company, “Thanks to companies that care about the people around them one young 13 year-old boy can live his life fully.”
