In the early hours of the morning, a group of friends were hijacked and a shot was fired.

On Monday morning, November 27 at approximately 01:55 Mr Mandla Ngwenya alleged that he was with his three friends driving a blue Mazda 3.

They were driving up and down French Street; later on they came to a stop.

Ngwenya then heard a knock on the window, when he looked to the side he saw two unknown men at the window with a firearm.

The suspects then opened the driver’s door and put the gun to Ngwenya’s neck.

A stressed and tensed Ngwenya was told to get out of the vehicle; his friends also climbed out of the vehicle and lay on the ground.

The suspects then drove off with the car.
