
Police officers busted two suspects for drug possession this weekend.
The first suspect was caught on Friday 8 at Why Not Tavern. The police where patrolling when they went to Why Not Tavern to search the people who where drinking inside.
That is when Constable Chili spotted a guy who was wearing a white jersey standing against the wall holding his pocket. The officer searched him and found three ‘slopes’ of dagga inside his right pocket.
The second arrest took place on Sunday 10 at Masakhane. The police where patrolling at Masakhane when they spotted an African male standing by the door at one of the rooms. When approached, the suspect immediately went inside and Constable Tswai pursued the suspect in an attempt to apprehend him before he closed the door.
They found him shivering inside the room and found a shoe box with 23 pokes of dagga inside. The suspect told the police that he was just trying to make a living as he was unemployed. He was arrested and taken into police custody.
