Witbank Dam is full to the brim

Witbank Dam is currently at 98 % capacity.

eMalahleni has had a strange weather pattern this last year, with three big hail storms at the top of the list, residents of eMalahleni can be grateful for the rain it did receive.

Witbank Dam is currently at 98 % capacity and water from other areas continues to flow into the dam filling it up even more.

Many holiday makers spent their time at Witbank Dam; if they were not out on the dam with a boat or Jet Ski, they were sitting on the side fishing.

Residents of eMalahleni can be grateful that they are not experiencing the drought that currently grips the Western Cape.

The City of Cape Town has increased the water restrictions to level 5 and this means that residents and visitors can only use 87 litres per person per day.
