A mother left her daughter in the father’s care, only to find out that the daughter had been sexually assaulted by the father’s friend.
The incident occurred between January 1 and January 5 when the complainant received a call from her ex husband that he needed to drop off their child.
The woman then asked him to drop the child off at her sister’s house, because she was working at that stage.
Once the complainant was done working she went to her sister’s house to pick up her daughter, who had been swimming.
The mother and daughter then went home and her daughter took a bath, then telling her mother that her private parts were very sore.
Not sure what was wrong with her daughter, she gave her some cream and once again reminded her daughter that nobody is allowed to touch there.
That is when the daughter told her mom that her father’s friend had touched her there.
Now not knowing what was going on, the mother took her daughter to the doctor and after the doctor’s examination he said that a child her age will not lie about something like this.
A case of rape was opened at Witbank Police Station.
