Bright and early in the morning Lt Col Nape Matlala (Phola SAPS Station Commander), together with his team, Mr Daniel Msebenzi Nkutha (Chairperson of Phola Community Policing Forum), Mr Tom Mtsweni (Youth Desk Chairperson), Miss Rachel Nyambi (Community Policing Forum Addition Member), Constable Nonhlanhla Monama (Phola SAPS CIMEC) and Cst Mabena addressed all learners during assembly time.

Learners were warned against carrying dangerous weapons, smoking dagga and drugs and crime in general. The Station Commander emphasized the issue of drugs and encouraged all learners to be disciplined and punctual.
Lt Col Matlala touched on the Domestic Violence Act 116 of 1998 and Protection from Harassment Act 17 of 2011. He further explained properly all the processes of applying for both the Domestic Violence Protection Order and protection from harassment.
“The event went very well and the elderly of the community entertained everybody by singing, dancing, poetry and drama plays,” concluded Cst Mabena.
