Voting results as per IEC

The total votes who cast were 17 671 616 while there were 26 779 025 registered voters.

The IEC have published the voting results, and they read as follows:

The ANC (African National Congress) have won once again with 100% of the votes counted.

This follows after the elections on May 8.

The ANC took the lead with 57.5% of votes, with the DA (Democratic Alliance) in second place with a total of 20.77% votes and the EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters) in third place with a total of 10.79%.

The total votes nationally are 10 026 475 for the ANC, 3621 188 for the DA and 188 521 for the EFF.

The IEC stated that the voter turnout for the past election is 65.99%.

These figures are nationally, while the ANC in Mpumalanga also received great support.

The ANC received 70.58% of votes, which totals to 858 589 of casted votes in this province.

The EFF took second place with a total of 12.79% of votes, where 155 573 voted for this party.

The DA received 9.77% of votes which means 118 915 votes went to this party.

The IEC also stated that spoilt votes were a total of 235 472.
