On May 10 a yellow Toyota Corolla bakkie was carjacked in front of Pap n Vleis in Coronation.

The owner was busy selling fish out of the back of it at the time.

An unknown man pretended to be interested in buying some of the car owner’s fish, but upon being assisted by the owner, pulled out a knife carjacking the vehicle (and abducting the owner in the process).

The car thief took both the owner and the vehicle to a different location, where the owner was assaulted by the car thief and four other accomplices.

The owner of the bakkie is offering a R10 000 reward for any information which leads to the positive arrest of the guilty parties in this matter.

The bakkie did not have a tracker inside of it, its number plate at the time read ‘JFT 073 MP’ and it resembles a Nissan 1400-type bakkie.

Persons with information on this carjacking are requested to call 013 655 5052 or Martiens on 078 963 3105.
