Winter is here and the temperatures are dropping.
The Highveld especially is renowned for its cold winters and very misty mornings.
Witbank Community Policing Forum (CPF) and SAPS are gearing up to help the less fortunate warm up a little this coming winter.
They launched the Mandela Day winter warmer project and are calling on the community to make this project a success.
“Donate blankets, socks, gloves and beanies. Your contribution will keep someone warm this winter,” said Ms Madelon Troskie from the CPF.
You can drop off your donation at Witbank Police Station Community Police Office.
The blankets, socks, gloves and beanies will be handed out to those in need on July 18.
