A Nissan NP200 was hijacked and the owners are desperate to get it back.

The victim, who preferred to stay anonymous, said that he was driving the bakkie on Friday, June 7.

“We stopped at a stop sign in Mandela Street, waiting for pedestrians to cross the road. This was about 23:05 but we did not realise they were the thugs. They attacked us and fired a shot but fortunately no one was injured. The men were heavily armed,” the victim said, he was also driving the vehicle.

He added that the suspects then took the passenger out of the car and told him to lie on the ground, where after he was taken out.

“They just drove off with the vehicle,” the victim said.

He added that one of the wheels did not have a wheel cap and that it had a scratch on the passenger door.

The vehicle is white in colour.
