Louis Street Clinic receives a clean slate

This was a response to community outcry over the unhygienic state of the clinic

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in collaboration with community members and two of their major sponsors, Hyper Packaging and SA Polichem donated cleaning utensils to Louis Street Clinic.

The donation took place on Monday morning, June 10.

This was a response to community outcry over the unhygienic state of the clinic.

Landi Breetzke, Constituency Head of the DA said they could not turn a blind eye to the situation.

“The state at this clinic is so bad that staff has to dig out of their own pocket to buy cleaning essentials to keep the clinic in a reasonable state” she said.

“We approached community members and got sponsored by Hyper Packaging and SA Polichem to buy the products which we have brought today.” Breetzke said this was a collective effort by both the community and the DA; she continued to thank the two sponsors.
