Police are investigating a case of armed robbery after a man was robbed of R70 000.
The man was robbed of his cash after withdrawing money from a bank at Highland Mews in Klipfontein on Tuesday, June 25 at about 11:00.
He drove to his workplace with a friend, but before they could enter the yard at the work place, a white VW Polo had parked behind the vehicle and three armed suspects from the car came to their car.
The man together with his friend tried to run away but they were caught by the suspects after they had fallen down.
The suspects searched them, taking R50 000 from the man’s jacket and R20 000 from his friend.
The suspects then drove away.
No one has been arrested.
